The Pneumonia Panel Real Time PCR Detection Kit is a multiplex assay designed for simultaneous qualitative detection of thirteen key bacterial pathogens associated with pneumonia: Haemophilus influenzae, Klebsiella aerogenes, Klebsiella pneumoniae group, Moraxella catarrhalis, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Serratia marcescens, Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus agalactiae, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Streptococcus pyogenes, Chlamydia pneumoniae, Legionella pneumophila, and Mycoplasma pneumoniae. Designed for use with oropharyngeal/nasopharyngeal swabs or sputum samples, the kit includes optimized real-time PCR reagents, internal controls, and multiplex primers/probes for rapid, high-throughput screening in research settings.
