Description
The Low Copy Number Plasmid Maxiprep Kit is optimized for efficient purification of plasmid DNA from low-copy bacterial vectors (typically <10 copies per cell) . Processing larger culture volumes (e.g., 200-500 mL) and the kit’s high-capacity binding format ensure sufficient yield for downstream applications. The protocol features alkaline lysis, efficient lysate clearance, DNA binding on high-capacity columns, robust washing to remove proteins/RNA/salts and high-quality elution. Purified DNA is in supercoiled form and is suitable for restriction digestion, sequencing, transfection and library construction workflows. The kit includes large-volume buffers (Resuspension, Lysis, Neutralization), high‐capacity binding columns or cartridge, Wash Buffer (s), Elution Buffer, RNase A and a detailed protocol with guidance for handling low-copy templates.
