Description
Source: Escherichia Coli.Sterile Filtered White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder.Natriuretic Peptide Precursor B acts as a cardiac hormone with a variety of biological actions including natriuresis, vasorelaxation, diuresis and inhibition of renin and aldosterone secretion. BNP plays a key role in cardiovascular homeostasis. BNP also helps restore the body's salt and water balance andimproves heart function.NT-Pro-B-type Natriuretic Protein Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 76 amino acid and having a molecular mass of approximately 8.5kDa. NT-proBNP is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
Product Name Alternative
NPPB, Natriuretic Peptide Precursor B, BNP, B-type Natriuretic Peptide.
Purification
Greater than 98.0% as determined by: (a) Analysis by RP-HPLC. (b) Analysis by SDS-PAGE.
Components
Lyophilized from a 0.2μm filtered concentrated solution in 20mM Tris-HCl, pH 8.0 and 150mM NaCl.It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized NT-Pro-B-type Natriuretic Protein in sterile 18M Omega -cm H2O not less than 100μg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
Storage Conditions
Lyophilized NT-proBNP although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution NT-Pro-B-type Natriuretic Protein should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C. Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
