Source : Escherichia Coli. LCAT Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 441 amino acids (25-440) which includes a 25 amino acid His Tag fused at N-terminus and having a total molecular mass of 49.8 kDa. LCAT Human Recombinant is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. LCAT is an extracellular cholesterol esterifying enzyme, lecithin-cholesterol acyltransferase. The esterification of cholesterol is required for cholesterol transport. LCAT is a essential enzyme in the extracellular metabolism of plasma lipoproteins.

Components
LCAT protein solution (0.5mg/mL) containing 20mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH 8.0), 0.4M Urea and 10% glycerol.
Storage Conditions
Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA) .Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
