EHT Power Unit

• Description :

  This is a specially designed universal floating high voltage power source with digital display useful for supplying charge for quantitative electrostatic experiments and also for gas discharge tubes needing a filament supply or even spectrum tubes. A continuously variable output up to 5kV by a transformer having specially insulated winding to withstand EHT voltages. The transformer is tapped directly to provide 6V/3A AC for filament supply. A rotary control knob provided on the front panel adjusts the EHT output from 0 to 5000V DC with a non hazardous maximum load capacity of 2mA (short circuit current) which can be directly read out from a digital meter. All outputs available through 4mm shrouded sockets and are clearly marked for their respective outputs. Whole assembly is housed inside an aluminium extrusion channel fitted with high grade sturdy covers. ABS (Acrylo Nitrile Butadiene Styrene) moulded side covers with ventilation fan to keep it cool even to operate it for a long time. Operating Voltage 110V/220V±10%, 50/60Hz selectable via. slider switch.
