Low Melt AgaroseBio&SELL Low Melt Agarose (or low meting point agarose) is an agarose with a comparatively low melting point and is ideal for separating fragments between 80 bp and 25,000 bp.The melting point is guaranteed to be < 66°C, which is lower than that of universal agarose.Excellent for preparative gel electrophoresisThe cut gel piece with the desired DNA fragment can be melted at a lower temperature and the DNA can thus be obtained more gentlyFor the isolation of DNA fragments we recommend the Bio&SELL Double Pure Combi Kit.Like all our agaroses, each batch of Bio&SELL low melting point agarose undergoes strict quality controls with regard to all relevant parameters.Gel strength (1.0%) : > 200 g/cm2Gelling temperature (1.5%) : < 31 °CMelting temperature (1.5%) : < 66 °CElectroendosmosis (-mr) : 0.05 - 0.14Sulphate content: < 0.10 %Water content: < 10.0 %DNA binding: not detectableDNAse- and RNAse-activity: not detectablePreparation of a standard agarose gel:For 100 ml of a 1% agarose gel, prepare 1 g agarose in 100 ml electrophoresis buffer.
