2-Methylacetophenone (O-Methylacetophenone) (Standard) is the analytical standard of 2-Methylacetophenone. This product is intended for research and analytical applications. 2-Methylacetophenone is a xanthine dehydrogenase (XDH) inhibitor 2-Methylacetophenone competitively binds to the XDH active site, blocking the pathway for xanthine to be converted to uric acid. 2-Methylacetophenone can be used for the study of hyperuricemia.
