It interacts with SELPLG to enable rapid leukocyte rolling over vascular surfaces in early inflammation. P-Selectin also interacts with SNX17 and promotes neutrophil adhesion and rolling, requiring SELPLG's sialyl-Lewis X and tyrosine sulfation.
