Methyl-β-cyclodextrin is also extensively used as a cholesterol-depleting reagent[1]. Methyl-β-cyclodextrin strongly reduces clathrin-dependent endocytosis[2]. Methyl-β-cyclodextrin blocks cell migrasome formation[3].
