The amine can react with other chemical groups, such as carboxyl and aldehyde groups, to form stable chemical bonds. Containing a DBCO group, DBCO-PEG-Amine (MW 5000) can participate in strain-promoted azide-alkyne cycloaddition (SPAAC) reactions with molecules that have azide groups.
