  MPEG-N3 (MW 5000) is applicable for modifying proteins, peptides, and other materials. The azide group can react with alkynes in aqueous solutions through copper-catalyzed reactions and can also be readily reduced to amines. Polyethylene glycol (PEG) modification enhances solubility and stability while reducing the immunogenicity of peptides and proteins. Additionally, mPEG-N3 (MW 5000) can inhibit nonspecific binding of charged molecules to modified surfaces.
