Bioactivity
A17, a bile acid analog, exhibits anti-non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) and anti-inflammatory properties. This compound diminishes fatty acid (FA) uptake and enhances FA oxidation by suppressing fatty acid translocase (Cd36) expression and stimulating AMPKα activity. A17 is applicable in NASH research.
