Bioactivity

DFPQ is a powerful and selective ?-arrestin-biased negative allosteric modulator (NAM) targeting the ?2-adrenergic receptor. It specifically inhibits the interaction of ?-arrestin with ?2AR without altering ?-agonist-induced cAMP production. Additionally, DFPQ reduces functional desensitization of the ?2AR in airway smooth muscle, enhancing ?-agonists' capacity to maintain bronchorelaxation and curbing cell migration during prolonged ?-agonist treatment.
