  PM-1, a Thioflavin-T (ThT) derivative, is a small, highly specific fluorescent dye for plasma membrane (PM) imaging in living and fixed cells. It integrates directly into the cell membrane and retains its presence on the PM for about 15 hours. PM-1 can be combined with protein labeling probes to investigate ectodomain shedding and endocytosis of cell surface proteins [1].
