• Background:

  PAT-1251 is a potent (IC50 = 710 nM) inhibitor of LOXL2, a copper-dependent amine oxidase that deaminates lysine and hydroxylysine residues in collagen and elastin. It displayed >400-fold selectivity over LOX as well as high selectivity against the related amine oxidases SSAO, DAO, and MAO-A/B. A potential new therapeutic for the treatment of fibrotic diseases.
