Rufinamide

• Background:

  Rufinamide is a clinically useful anticonvulsant medication.1 Its mechanism of action is believed to be inhibition of Nav1.1 and Nav1.6 activation.2 Rufinamide improved cognitive function and increased neurogenesis in gerbils via increases in IGF-1, IGF-1R, and p-CREB.3
