NEB Stable Competent E. coli (High Efficiency), C3040H, are chemically competent E. coli cells designed for high-efficiency transformation and cloning of unstable DNA inserts, repetitive sequences and plasmids. The strain is particularly suitable for maintaining difficult constructs and for isolating and propagating retroviral and lentiviral clones. With a transformation efficiency of approximately 1-3 × 10⁹ cfu/µg pUC19 DNA, NEB Stable competent cells combine high transformation performance with reduced recombination of cloned DNA. Key Features
