Stellasterol

5alpha-ergosta-7,22-dien-3beta-ol is a 3beta-sterol consisting of an ergostane skeleton with double bonds at 7- and 22-positions. It has a role as a metabolite, an antifungal agent, an EC 3.2.1.18 (exo-alpha-sialidase) inhibitor and an anti-HSV-1 agent. It derives from a hydride of a 5alpha-ergostane.
