Multi-species (Cynomolgus Monkey, Guinea Pig, Human) IGF-2 Recombinant Protein

  • Background:

Insulin-like growth factor 2 (IGF-2) is one of three protein hormones that share structural similarity to insulin. The major role of IGF-2 is as a growth promoting hormone during gestation. IGF-2 is preferentially expressed in early embryonic and fetal development and in a wide variety of somatic tissues. IGF-2 expression in adults occurs in liver and in epithelial cells lining the surface of the brain. IGF-2 is present in circulation and can be detected in plasma, with circulating IGF-2 levels highest in fetal circulation.
  • Description:

The Cynomolgus Monkey/Guinea Pig/Human IGF-2 yeast-derived recombinant protein is not tagged and is naturally endotoxin-free. The purity is greater than 98% as visualized by SDS-PAGE analysis. Cynomolgus Monkey/Guinea Pig/Human IGF-2 applications are for cell culture, ELISA standard, and Western Blot Control. Cynomolgus Monkey/Guinea Pig/Human IGF-2 yeast-derived recombinant protein can be purchased in multiple sizes. Cynomolgus Monkey/Guinea Pig/Human IGF-2 Specifications: (Molecular Weight: 7.4 kDa) (Amino Acid Sequence: YRPSETLCGG ELVDTLQFVC GDRGFYFSRP ASRVSRRSRG IVEECCFRSC DLALLETYCA TPAKSE (66) ) (Gene ID: n/a) .
