Background
Fibroblast growth factors, or FGFs, are a family of growth factors involved in angiogenesis, wound healing, and embryonic development. There are currently 24 members of the FGF family. FGF basic (FGF2) and FGF acidic (FGF1) are multipotential factors that stimulate and support proliferation, migration and differentiation.
