Rabbit TGF-alpha Recombinant Protein

  • Background:

Transforming growth factor alpha (TGF-α) is a member of the epidermal growth factor (EGF) family. TGF-α can be produced in macrophages, brain cells, and keratinocytes. TGF-α has also been observed to be highly expressed in the suprachiasmatic nucleus (SCN) (5) . This finding suggests a role for EGFR signaling in the regulation of CLOCK and circadian rhythms within the SCN. Additional studies have shown that when injected into the third ventricle TGF-α can suppress circadian locomotor behavior along with drinking or eating activities.
  • Description:

The Rabbit TGF-alpha yeast-derived recombinant protein is not tagged and is naturally endotoxin-free. The purity is greater than 98% as visualized by SDS-PAGE analysis. Rabbit TGF-alpha applications are for cell culture, ELISA standard, and Western Blot Control. Rabbit TGF-alpha yeast-derived recombinant protein can be purchased in multiple sizes. Rabbit TGF-alpha Specifications: (Molecular Weight: 5.6 kDa) (Amino Acid Sequence: VVSHFNQCPD SHTQFCFHGT CRFLVQEDKP ACVCHSGYVG ARCEHADLLA (50) ) (Gene ID: n/a) . For research use only.
