Canine Neurophysin-1 ELISpot

• Background:

  Neurophysins are carrier proteins which transport hormones from the hypothalamus to the posterior pituitary gland. Neurophysin-1 (NP-1) transports oxytocin. Neurophysin-2 transports vasopressin. NP-1 is produced in the cell bodies of the paraventricular and supraoptic nuclei and transported to its site of release in the axon terminals of the posterior pituitary.

• Description:

  Canine Neurophysin-1 ELISpot contains Capture Antibody, Standard Control, and Detection Antibody for development of up to two (2) ELISpot assays. Other required materials and reagents are not supplied. The antibodies have been determined to function in an ELISpot with the Standard Control provided. Components may also be purchased separately. For research use only.
