Bovine TNF alpha ELISA
Background:
TNF alpha is a member of the TNF Superfamily. It is produced chiefly by activated macrophages, but it is produced also by a broad variety of cell types including lymphoid cells, mast cells, endothelial cells, cardiac myocytes, adipose tissue, fibroblasts, and neuronal tissue. The primary role of TNF alpha is in the regulation of immune cells. TNF alpha, being an endogenous pyrogen, is able to induce fever, to induce apoptotic cell death, to induce sepsis (through IL-1 & IL-6 production), to induce cachexia, induce inflammation, and to inhibit tumorigenesis and viral replication.Description:
The Bovine TNF alpha (TNFSF2) ELISA contains capture antibody, protein standard, and detection antibody for development of a Bovine TNF alpha ELISA. The antibodies have been determined to function in an ELISA with the standard provided. Optimal buffers, concentrations, incubation times, incubation temperatures, and methods for the ELISA have not been determined. This allows for complete flexibility to provide optimal dynamic range and sensitivity based on your sample type. The Bovine TNF alpha ELISA can also be used to measure American Buffalo, Banteng, Carabao, Water Buffalo, Yak, and Zebu TNF alpha. The quantities of components provided are not matched. Components may also be purchased separately. For research use only.Homology:
Bison bison bison (American buffalo), Bos indicus (zebu), Bos javanicus (banteng), Bos mutus (wild yak), Bos taurus (cattle), Bubalus bubalis (water buffalo), Bubalus kerabau (carabao)Storage Temperature:
2°C to 8°C or -20°CScientific Category:
