LDHA Protein, Mouse, Recombinant (His Tag)
Background:
LDHA (Lactate Dehydrogenase A) is a Protein Coding gene. The protein encoded by this gene catalyzes the conversion of L-lactate and NAD to pyruvate and NADH in the final step of anaerobic glycolysis. LDHA, a key enzyme regulating aerobic glycolysis, belongs to the lactate dehydrogenase family and is overexpressed in many human cancers, and correlates with poor clinical outcomes. LDHA can promote the Warburg effect to produce lactate and Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP) in aerobic conditions, which contributes to oncogenesis metastasis and drug resistance in various cancers. Up-regulation of lactate dehydrogenase LDHA is a frequent event in human malignancies and relate to poor postoperative outcome. Diseases associated with LDHA include Fanconi-Bickel Syndrome and Myoglobinuria.Synonyms:

> 95 % as determined by SDS-PAGE.Activity:
Measured by its ability to reduce pyruvate to lactate. The specific activity is >50, 000 pmoles/min/μgForm:
LyophilizedBuffer:
Lyophilized from sterile PBS, 10 % Glycerol, pH 7.4. Please contact us for any concerns or special requirements. Normally 5 % - 8 % trehalose, mannitol and 0.01% Tween 80 are added as protectants before lyophilization. Please refer to the specific buffer information in the hard copy of CoA.Function:
Enzyme ProteinsMolecular Weight:
The recombinant mouse Ldha consists 332 amino acids and predicts a molecular mass of 36.5 kDa.Storage Conditions:
In general, recombinant proteins are provided as lyophilized powder which are shipped at ambient temperature. Bulk packages of recombinant proteins are provided as frozen liquid. They are shipped out with blue ice unless customers require otherwise. Stable for 1 year at -20°C or below from date of shipment. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and opening the cap. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C or below. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.Symbol:
