CD157 (BST1), His-Tag Recombinant
Background:
CD157, also known as BST1 (bone marrow stromal cell antigen-1) is a glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI) -anchored moleculewith the dual functions of receptor and β-NAD+metabolizing ectoenzyme, of the ADP-ribosyl cyclase family. This protein is expressed in the myeolomonocytic lineage (monocytes, neutrophils and others) and mesenchymal stem cells, mesothelial cells and many others. It plays a role in leukocyte adhesion, migration and diapedesis via its heparin-binding domains. Abnormalities in this protein are implicated in inflammatory disorders, such as RA (rheumatoid arthritis) . A potential therapeutic avenue for disorders where CD157 is implicated is the disruption of its interaction with ECM (extracellular matrix) proteins.Description:
Recombinant human CD157, also known as BST1 (bone marrow stromal cell antigen 1), encompassing amino acids 29-292. This construct contains a C-terminal His-tag (6xHis) . The protein was affinity purified.UniProt:
