Description
BTC AM is a cell-permeable, esterified precursor that is cleaved intracellularly to release BTC, a ratiometric calcium indicator with a Kd of 7-26 μM. Its excitation shift upon calcium binding (480 nm to 401 nm) enables the monitoring of elevated calcium levels in neurons, smooth muscle, and intracellular stores in both live-cell and tissue experiments.
