DiSC3 (5) iodide is a membrane-potential-sensitive fluorescent probe that exhibits quenching upon hyperpolarization and enhanced fluorescence upon depolarization, with Ex/Em of 622/670 nm. It is widely used for real-time monitoring of mitochondrial membrane potential dynamics in both cellular and isolated organelle studies.
