Description

EDTA-AM is a cell-permeable chelator that, upon cleavage by intracellular esterases, releases active EDTA to sequester cytoplasmic metal ions. This action inhibits cell division and causes chromosome decondensation, making it a valuable tool for studying metal-dependent processes in cell biology and mitosis research both in vitro and in vivo.
