Description
Verlamelin A is a macrocyclic peptide with antifungal and antiviral properties. It exhibits antifungal activity against Aspergillus ochraceus and Curvularia australiensis, and it also shows antiviral activity against HSV-1 (IC50 = 16.7 μM) . Verlamelin A can be isolated from the entomopathogenic fungus [Lecanicillium sp.]. It is useful for antifungal and antiviral research.
