Description
Citreomontanin (Citreomontanine) (Compound 3) is an α-pyrone polyketide compound that acts as an intermediate of Citreoviripyrone A. It can be isolated from the mycelium of the endophytic Penicillium fungus in Catharanthus roseus. Citreoviripyrone A exhibits moderate inhibitory activity on the growth of HCT116 cells.
