Description
Trypaflavin is an orally effective acridine compound that serves as an antimalarial agent. It can penetrate germ cells, induce abnormalities in unfertilized egg cells, and increase the frequency of chromosomal anomalies. Although it exhibits weak mutagenicity, Trypaflavin is highly toxic to Leishmania, causing immediate lysis of promastigotes.
