Description
UCB1244283 is an allosteric modulator of synaptic vesicle glycoprotein 2A (SV2A) . It binds to the secondary ligand binding site on SV2A, promoting the binding of orthosteric ligands by stabilizing the closed state of the ligand binding site and slowing ligand dissociation when the orthosteric site is occupied. UCB1244283 demonstrates significant protective effects against tonic and clonic seizures in sound-sensitive mice. This compound is applicable for epilepsy research.
