Description
Antitubercular agent-55 (Compound 2e) is an agent that combats Mycobacterium tuberculosis. It shows significant inhibitory activity against the standard H37Rv strain of Mycobacterium tuberculosis and moderate inhibitory activity against multidrug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB) . Antitubercular agent-55 exhibits strong affinity for the key enzyme InhA in mycolic acid biosynthesis. This compound is useful for studying Mycobacterium tuberculosis infections.
