019854-B06 is a potent inhibitor of Tat-mediated HIV-1 transcription, with an IC50 of 1.44 μM, and exhibits antiviral activity against HIV-1 with an EC50 of 0.83 μM. It binds to the Tat peptide (KD= 33.5 μM) but does not interact with TAR RNA.
