Description
Bixalomer is a phosphate binder that alleviates hyperphosphatemia in rat models of chronic kidney disease (CKD) . By binding phosphate in the small intestine, Bixalomer reduces phosphate absorption, thereby decreasing plasma phosphate levels in CKD rat models.
