Mal-PEG-OH (MW 3400) (Maleimide-PEG-Hydroxy (MW 3400) ) is a linear heterobifunctional PEG product featuring maleimide and hydroxyl groups. This compound can act as a macromolecular initiator to synthesize amphiphilic diblock copolymers through the ring-opening polymerization of Lactate (Lactic Acid) . Such amphiphilic block copolymers can be used to prepare nanoparticles, forming an active drug delivery system.
