Description
SGC8158 is an inhibitor of PRMT7 and is useful for studying the cellular function of PRMT7. It reduces the monomethyl arginine levels of Hsp70 (a common substrate of PRMT7) . SGC8158 can inhibit the growth of various cancer cells (IC50: 2-9 μM) and multidrug-resistant (MDR) cancer cells, and it also enhances the DNA damage and cytotoxicity induced by Doxorubicin.
