Description
MPEG-pALD (MW 40000) is a significant mono-reactive PEG derivative with reactive groups that can interact with the N-terminus of amines, peptides, and proteins, forming an imine with a C=N double bond that can be further reduced. Polyethylene glycol aldehyde or ketone derivatives can create hydrolyzable acylhydrazone bonds for reversible PEGylation through reactions with hydrazine or hydrazides.
