P5SA-2 is a selective allosteric activator of the phosphatase PPP5C, enhancing its activity by 3.2-fold at 100 μM with an apparent affinity of 7.8 μM. This small molecule is a valuable research tool for investigating PPP5C's role in disease models, including cancer and Alzheimer's disease, in both in vitro and cellular studies.
