Description
DDN is an orally active, selective insulin receptor activator and sensitizer that mimics insulin's function. It binds the receptor kinase domain to induce Akt and ERK phosphorylation, enhancing insulin-stimulated glucose uptake in vitro and significantly lowering blood glucose in diabetic ob/ob and db/db mouse models.
