ACP6-12 is a potent small-molecule activator of the bacterial protease ClpP, exhibiting over tenfold greater activity than its predecessor ACP1-06. Its validated binding mode, confirmed by X-ray co-crystallography, makes it a valuable chemical probe for studying bacterial proteostasis and novel antibiotic mechanisms in both in vitro and cellular assays.
