CN128 is an orally active iron chelator designed to resist metabolic inactivation through an alternative glucuronidation site on its side chain. In a rat model of iron overload, doses of 150 and 450 μmol/kg increased iron mobilization by 24.8%, demonstrating its potential for research into iron chelation therapies and related metabolic studies.
