Dihydrocubebin, isolated from Piper cubeba, is a potent and selective cytochrome P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) inhibitor. It is applied in vitro for enzyme inhibition assays and in vivo for pharmacokinetic studies, supporting research in drug metabolism, herb-drug interactions, and pharmacological profiling.
