Description
Amrubicin (SM-5887) is a synthetic anthracycline topoisomerase II inhibitor used in lung cancer research. It intercalates DNA, blocking replication and transcription, and demonstrates potent antitumor activity in vitro and in vivo models with a reduced cardiotoxicity profile compared to classical anthracyclines.
