QM31 is a cell-permeable small molecule that selectively inhibits Apaf-1, blocking apoptosome assembly with an IC50 of 7.9 μM. It is a valuable research tool for studying intrinsic apoptosis pathways in both cellular and animal models of cancer and neurological diseases.
