Description
Ecomustine is a water-soluble nitrosourea derivative of acosamine that acts as an alkylating agent. It exerts its novel antitumor effects by crosslinking DNA strands, thereby inhibiting replication and transcription to suppress cellular proliferation in both in vitro and in vivo cancer research models.
