Storage Conditions
The purified antibody (UNLB) is supplied as 0.1 mg purified immunoglobulin in 1.0 mL of 100 mM borate buffered saline, pH 8.0. Store at 2-8 °C.
The fluorescein (FITC) conjugate is supplied as 100 tests in 1.0 mL of PBS/NaN3. Store at 2-8 °C.
The R-phycoerythrin (R-PE) is supplied as 100 tests in 1.0 mL of PBS/NaN3 and a stabilizing agent. Store at 2-8 °C. Do not freeze!
Protect conjugated forms from light. Reagents are stable for the period shown on the label if stored as directed.
Specificity
Human CD35
The CD35 antigen is composed of four different allotypes having different molecular weights (A (or F) - 160 kDa, B (or S) - 190 kDa, C - 220 kDa, and D - 250 kDa). It is the receptor for C3b and is found on B cells, a subset of T cells, monocytes, neutrophils, follicular dendritic cells, erythrocytes and kidney glomelular podocytes. CD35 mediates neutrophil and monocyte phagocytosis of particles coated with C3b and/or C4b. This interaction also enhances phagocytosis mediated by the Fc receptors.1-5
