Description
MitoPQ is a mitochondria-targeted compound used to study oxidative stress by selectively increasing mitochondrial superoxide and hydrogen peroxide. It is a valuable tool for investigating insulin resistance mechanisms in vitro, as it inhibits insulin-stimulated glucose uptake and GLUT4 translocation in adipocytes and myotubes.
