Description
(E) -Ajoene, a bioactive disulfide from garlic, exhibits broad-spectrum antimicrobial and antifungal properties in vitro. It demonstrates antiproliferative effects against various cancer cell lines and inhibits specific reductases. Furthermore, it has shown neuroprotective activity in an in vivo gerbil model of cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury.
