• Storage Conditions:

  Lyophilized powder may be stored at 4 °C for short-term only. Stable for 12 months at -20 °C. Reconstitute to nominal volume (see reconstitution instructions for peptides) and store at -20 °C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

• Specificity:

  LFPI-4 is a cell-permeable N-acetylated, C-hydroxamate derivative of a 14-mer peptide designed from the MEK-2 template that acts as a competitive inhibitor of Anthrax lethal factor (LF) metalloprotease (Ki = 1 nM). Also inhibits MEK-3 cleavage. Protects against Anthrax toxin induced cytotoxicity in RAW264.7 and J772.A1 cells..
